The exterior is clad in enamelled metal panels and glass; auditorium and interiors are designed to reflect the corporate identity of Shanghai Tobacco, with pillars wound with pale grey cord and surface colours in multi tone browns, creams and shades of yellow.
The auditorium is equipped with state of the art systems, including the latest Barco digital cinema projectors & AV equipment, and the latest security and safety equipment. Advanced lighting control systems for the auditorium were manufactured by Futronix.
Two PFS-16 fluorescent dimming/switching racks are installed, one in the auditorium control/AV projection room, and another in an electrical room on the 2nd level directly overlooking the stage from the side. The Futronix system controls auditorium room-lighting – mainly dimmable compact fluorescent lamps located in bays in the ceiling and in recesses, red LED seat designation lighting, and floor-mounted blue up-lighters for perimeter walls.
The system is controllable from Futronix switch panels, and is also linked by RS485 to the Crestron handheld touch screen wireless system, which can then operate the Futronix lighting controls from anywhere within the building or auditorium. The touch screen is programmed in Chinese.
