FUTRONIX innovates at CEDIA 2006 London (cont'd)

The updated P400 extends functionality to include a total of 4 channels, plus an additional 2 channels of fluorescent dimming, whilst Futronix's X-bus protocol expands connectivity for multi-zone control.

Compact and feature-packed – and the smallest 8 channel digital dimmer available in its class – the updated P800 Multi-Room Compact Dimmer features fluorescent ballast interface, and comes with its own robust steel wall-box and pre-wired connectors for electrician-friendly installation.

And Futronix's entry level, no-neutral P50, with remote control and 3 levels of programmable dimming, remains the ideal retrofit replacement for a standard light switch.

Whole House Control Systems
Expo visitors interested in whole-house control systems focused on the Enviroscene lighting controller and the flag-ship Futronix PFX System, both updated for CEDIA 2006 with stylish new cases featuring massive finned external heatsinks, and new high powered Alternistor based dimming circuits. The PFX System was used to create the largest ever lighting control system for the world's most expensive hotel, the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai – featured in a stunning backlit display on the stand.

Home Icon
Also popular with attendees, a stand-mounted Home-Icon® TFT Colour Touch Screen lighting control system linked to another backlit display allowed visitors to simulate lighting control for a residential living room. Featuring a bright, colour touch-screen, attractive graphics, and an intuitive easy to use menu, the Home-Icon touch screen unit is fully web-enabled with its' own website pages and dynamic data display. The ultimate in one-touch convenience, the Home-Icon HI-R Touch Screen integrates individual Futronix lighting dimmers into one seamless control system, and can also provide building master control including control of curtains, blinds, motorised projection screens and AV equipment.

Hx Dimmers
Introduced at CEDIA 2006, the remotely-mounted Futronix Hx Dimmer module is the ideal lighting controller for small-to-medium sized residences, as well as condominium units, hotel guestrooms and suites. Smaller residences benefit from multi-point, multi channel switching, combined with the sophisticated lighting control and networking options usually offered only by much larger and more expensive systems.

Unobtrusive yet powerful, the Hx Dimmer offers 4 channels of scene dimming, 4 channels of relay switching, and independent 4 channels of 0-10V fluorescent dimming, and can control room lighting as well as most automated devices, including curtains, drapes and A/V systems. Selected lighting levels in up to 12 rooms or areas can be operated from Futronix switchpanels, and Hx Dimmer modules can be linked to provide up to 36 channels of multi-zone lighting control. The Hx Dimmer is operated from Futronix Eclipse switch panels, the supplied remote control handset or by 3rd party Universal remote control devices and touch screens.

The Futronix stand at CEDIA 2006 showcased a host of new and upgraded lighting control systems, garnering much attention from industry attendees – and maintaining Futronix's position at the leading edge of digital lighting control.
